The Council of Legal Education (CLE), through its Quality Assurance, Compliance and Accreditation (QCA) Department, conducted a pre-inspection audit of the University of Nairobi (UoN) School of Law, Kisumu Campus, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. The CLE team was led by the Director, QCA, Ms Mary Mutugi. Other members of the team were Mr. Moses Mwaura and Ms Georgina Wabwire.

The audit began with presentations on the School of Law by the Associate Dean and the heads of support units (Finance, ICT and Library). These presentations provided a status report on various aspects of the School, including governance and management, strategic planning, financial commitment and projections, research, curriculum and curriculum development, the LLB degree programme (niche, admission requirements, student enrolment and completion rates, modes of delivery, use of ICT, integration of research and examinations processes), staffing, staff qualifications and research, and staff-student ratios, library and information resources and services, and infrastructure. Discussions then ensued in which CLE sought clarification on a number of areas.
